Adaptation
Evidence shows that the region is exposed to increases in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events by the end of the century, such as additional numbers of hot days and very hot days and longer dry periods.
This science-based information, in addition to existing disaster-loss databases, are a starting point for projects and activities conducted by the Centre to inform policies on adaptation and disaster risk reduction at the regional, national and sectoral levels. These activities seek to support Arab stakeholders in lowering risks posed by climatic change impacts in terms of weather-related hazards and disasters.
