To motivate young people to advocate for reversing land degradation in the Arab region, ESCWA and AOAD, with support from the UN Office of Information and Communications Technology and Emergency Telecommunications Cluster, launched on 9 March a video challenge for persons aged between 15 and 30.
Participants should produce a 2- to 3-minute video carrying a simple but appealing message to describe the desertification problem and/or ways to address it. The message could be in the form of a monologue, a poem, a short play, a song, a game, an interview, a short movie…
The challenge will run until 30 April but the deadline to register is on 31 March. Winners will be announced during a ceremony celebrating World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought.
