Within the framework of the Regional Initiative to Promote Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in Rural Areas of the Arab Region (REGEND), which is funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), ESCWA is conducting a series of capacity-building workshops for rural women in several regions of Algeria on the topics of sustainability, renewable energy, good agricultural practices, food production, and marketing of agricultural products.
The workshops are organized in partnership with the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Algeria.
