In the framework of the series of capacity building workshops for rural women in Algeria under the Regional Initiative to Promote Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in Rural Areas of the Arab Region (REGEND), ESCWA is organizing a workshop on sustainable food production and packaging in Beni Abbas.
The workshop addresses the concepts of jam production, product packaging and canning, solar drying, harvesting and solar drying of dates, and the sustainable use of energy during food production. It also includes a practical day for producing Quinoa flour.
