In the framework of the series of capacity building workshops for rural women in Algeria under the Regional Initiative to Promote Small-Scale Renewable Energy Applications in Rural Areas of the Arab Region (REGEND), ESCWA is organizing a workshop on entrepreneurship and marketing of productive activities using renewable energy in Beni Abbas.
The workshop seeks to enhance the knowledge of rural women in Algeria on the concepts of entrepreneurship and management from a rural development perspective. It teaches participants about feasibility studies, financing options, cost accounting, pricing, and legal frameworks for founding businesses in Algeria. The workshop also tackles the basics of marketing using social media, and trains participants on how to reflect an image of sustainability and demonstrate that their businesses rely on renewable energies.
