As part of the Review of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action after 30 years (BDPfA), ESCWA is organizing a national workshop in Lebanon, in cooperation with the National Commission for Lebanese Women and UN-Women, in preparation for the Lebanon report on progress made in implementing the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action after 30 years. Participants include representatives from various ministries, official departments, civil society organizations, women's associations, unions, universities, and media institutions.
The workshop is aimed at planning and enhancing cooperation in the process of conducting the comprehensive national review of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action after 30 years, and at discussing the way forward in data collection.
