Measurement of South-South cooperation

Measurement of South-South cooperation

In Qatar, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), in partnership with ESCWA, the UN Regional Commissions, the UN Office for South-South Cooperation, the UN Statistics Division, and the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB), convened a regional expert meeting on the quantification of the South-South cooperation.

The meeting, held from 4 to 6 June, aimed at encouraging dialogue among southern countries to enable them to autonomously collect and report data through their systems. Participants included national, regional and international specialists in South-South cooperation and its measurement, representing development agencies, statistical bureaus, and ministries.
