From 12 to 14 June, ESCWA, the Arab Administrative Development Organization, Transparency International and the Arab Parliament, held the Arab Forum on “Enhancing Transparency and Good Governance to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals” in Cairo, Egypt.
The Forum discussed ways to establish cooperation mechanisms between governments and civil society to achieve the SDGs, particularly when it comes to reforming public institutions, achieving accountability and transparency, combating organized crime and corruption, and accessing information.
Sessions also featured numerous discussions on ways to develop effective and transparent institutions.
