ESCWA, the United Nations Population Fund Regional Office for the Arab States and the League of Arab States are organizing the second workshop in a series of events relating to the sixth regional review of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) 10 years after the 2013 Cairo Declaration.
The workshop assesses progress made by Arab countries in collecting the data and information required for preparing the national review reports. It enables participants to discuss the challenges faced and share good practices.
A regional conference is organized at the end of the regional review process, and key messages are submitted along with the regional review report to the 57th session of the Commission on Population and Development.
This event follows the first workshop that took place in October 2022.
