This workshop is being organized within the “Reducing Road Deaths and Injuries in Jordan through Increasing the Use of Safety Belts and Child Restraints” project being implemented by ESCWA in partnership with the ministries of interior and transport in Jordan and a number of other public and private stakeholders, funded by the United Nations Road Safety Fund.
A revised draft of the proposed regulatory framework and new legislation prepared by ESCWA and the national experts is being presented and discussed with the concerned Jordanian authorities.
