Within the preparations for the fifty-fifth session of the United Nations Statistical Commission, ESCWA is holding a meeting for its Statistical Committee’s working group to coordinate on the provisional agenda items designated for “discussion and decision”. The aim of the meeting is to agree on a unified Arab position that supports the regional statistical work, enhances the role of statistical offices, and reinforces the national positions regarding those items (available on the United Nations Statistical Commission’s webpage).
