From 7 to 9 May, ESCWA and the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics organized a virtual workshop on gender statistics.
Representatives from various Arab statistical agencies and regional organizations were briefed on gender indicators, the sources of data collection, and the interpretation of the results of the analysis in accordance with the SDGs. They also learned how to utilize various sources available to prepare and follow up on the indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals related to gender and gender equality.
Various frameworks for collecting accurate and reliable data on gender differences were also highlighted.
