From 29 November to 1 December, the National Agenda for the Future of Syria (NAFS) programme of ESCWA brought together experts from various backgrounds and experiences for a training on the Water, Energy and Food Nexus to support food security and sustainable agriculture for recovery in Syria.
Participants discussed the challenges of each sector and across the sectors and touched on the methodology of policy analysis and its compatibility, as well as ways to finance nexus projects.
At the end of the training, the “Syrian Community of Practice on Water, Energy and Food Security” was launched with the aim of supporting a group of Syrians and enhancing their capacities on the issue of nexus between the three sectors.
