ESCWA and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) organized two training workshops on economic diplomacy for Arab State officials and experts in diplomacy and trade negotiations in Lebanon and the Arab region, respectively.
The workshops - which took place from 6 to 9 June at the UN House in Beirut - focused on the increased importance of economic diplomacy over time, highlighting the correlation between economics and international politics.
Participants also discussed current issues in economics, and learned to apply newly acquired skills from real-world case studieson economic diplomacy.
