Food insecurity is affecting a growing population in the Arab region amid rising turmoil. In this context, ESCWA launched two challenges for young people.
The first one, “Food security and inequality in the Arab region”, is open to young people aged 35 and under, entrepreneurs, and small and medium enterprises. Participants must produce a video that presents innovative ways to make local and healthy food accessible and affordable for everyone. The second challenge, “My healthy lunch”, is open to children aged 10 and younger, and requires submitting a creative drawing/painting of their favorite healthy lunch.
Winning submissions will be exhibited at the second Arab Forum for Equality in Egypt in June 2023.
