Temperatures are likely going to be above normal conditions throughout the Arab region this summer, as indicated by forecasts announced at the fifth session of the Arab Climate Outlook Forum (ACOF).
The session was held virtually on 3 June by ESCWA, in coordination with the League of Arab States (LAS) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
Participants verified previous ACOF outlooks, presented this summer’s forecasts for North Africa and the Gulf subregions, and discussed the seasonal outlook for the whole region and conditions related to other regions.
