From 26 June to 1 July, ESCWA conducted a series of workshops in Mauritania with the Ministry of Social Affairs, Child and Family to strengthen the social protection system in the country.
The workshops focused on preparing national profiles on social protection, and reviewing the draft terms of reference set by the Ministry for the monitoring and evaluation platform it will develop.
ESCWA also worked to build the capacities of staff members around several topics such as gender equality, international human rights frameworks, etc.
