Effective, efficient and accountable institutions contribute to stability and provide a structured way to address the many challenges Arab countries face in conflict and crisis. They can also help reduce tensions and foster peaceful societies and sustainable development.
On 29 and 30 April, ESCWA held a regional workshop in Amman titled “SDG 16 in the Post-Conflict Phase: How to Strengthen Public Governance for Sustainable Recovery”.
During the workshop, participants explored ways to improve public governance in contexts challenged by conflict and crisis and unlock its potential to ensure sustainable recovery and increased resilience.
