On 17 March, ESCWA concluded the activities of the AFSD with a special conversation with youth.
Discussions focused on topics highlighted in the Secretary-General’s report “Our common Agenda”, including ensuring youth representation in decision-making, adopting long-sighted policymaking strategies, ensuring quality education and sustainable employment opportunities for young people, and guaranteeing environment stewardship.
The session reflected on what it means to have solidarity with young people, and to account for the interests of future generations from the perspective of young people in the region.
