As part of the technical support it provides to member States to develop better social protection policies and programmes, ESCWA organized a workshop on social protection reform options in Jordan, together with the Jordanian Ministry of Social Development.
During the workshop held between 22 and 25 June, participants came up with practical proposals which would feed into the review of the national strategy for social protection, and developed an action plan to implement the strategy.
Participants also learned about best practices in social protection from the region and the world.
