On 15 September, ESCWA and the Ministry of Social Affairs, Children and Family in Mauritania organized a virtual workshop to build national capacities on the use of the Social Justice Policy-Gap Assessment Tool and its application on the national strategy for recovery from COVID-19.
The workshop is the first phase of the technical support provided by ESCWA to enhance the capacities of ministry officials in analyzing the gaps in social policies and assessing the extent to which they are compatible with social justice principles.
ESCWA will continue to provide technical assistance and guidance until the completion of the assessment process and the development of a roadmap to implement the agreed recommendations.
