Given the enormous challenges facing Yemen - which was classified among the least developed countries even before the conflict erupted - ESCWA convened the second round of the socioeconomic dialogue on recovery in Yemen, with the participation of prominent Yemeni experts from the public and private sectors, academia and civil society.
The dialogue on 15 March in Cairo assessed the impact of the war on selected sectors and tackled the most important development challenges, including the risks of relapse into conflict.
Participants also discussed priorities to achieve recovery, as well as the necessary policy recommendations and implementation strategies for this purpose.
