The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development recognizes that fighting poverty in all its forms and dimensions is among the greatest global challenges and is indispensable for sustainable development. In the Arab region, poverty reduction has been slow and poverty reduction trends of the last two decades have been reversed.
