UN-ESCWA Executive Secretary Bader Omar AlDafa yesterday met with Saudi Minister of Trade and Industry Abdullah Ahmad Zeinal Ali Rida, who visited the United Nations House in Beirut accompanied by a delegation of high officials.
The delegation was introduced to the common activities, and UN-ESCWA services to its member countries. Discussions extended to future cooperation and UN-ESCWA areas of work. The delegation was also presented with an overview of the Regional Commission and its current priorities, which include the global financial crisis, climate change and food security, in addition to its basic work.
