Given the multiple crises and development challenges in the Arab region, ESCWA developed a strategy to better respond to the region’s pressing needs, and to strengthen cooperation among Governments and policymakers.
In this respect, it provided a training for staff members at the Ministry of Planning in Libya – in partnership with the Ministry - to build their capacity to anticipate and mitigate risks.
The training, held in Tunis between 4 and 6 July, also provided participants with necessary guidelines to develop risk-informed policies promoting growth, stability and prosperity.
