On 22 and 23 June, ESCWA organized a regional consultation for adolescents and youth in Tunisia, in partnership with the UNFPA Arab States Regional Office, the League of Arab States (LAS), the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), the Arab Institute for Human Rights and Y-PEER Network.
Discussions introduced young people to the ICPD Programme of Action and the 2013 Cairo Declaration, and suggested a series of activities to implement the ICPD Programme of Action.
The consultation resulted in a Youth Declaration, which includes further recommendations and proposed actions to implement the ICPD Programme of Action and the 2013 Cairo Declaration by partnering with young people.
