To support and develop the ability of Palestinian institutions in reducing the impact of the occupation on economic and social development, ESCWA organized a workshop in Amman titled “Developing policies based on risk analysis and resilience in the occupied Palestinian territory”.
The workshop, held from 15 to 17 February, aimed to enhance the abilities of planning and policy officials in relevant ministries and institutions in the State of Palestine in achieving a shared understanding of risks, predicting potential threats, establishing resilience within institutions and the society, and effectively responding to or recovering from sudden shocks.
It also sought to help policymakers produce risk-informed policies that mitigate the impact of shocks and support development.
