Given the importance of open data and its positive impact on innovation, transparency, accountability and economic growth, ESCWA and the Agency for Digital Development (ADD) in Morocco organized two workshops on the impact of open data and relevant policies.
The first workshop highlighted the main concepts of open data, its socioeconomic impact and how it influences digital transformation policies. Relevant initiatives by the ADD in Morocco were also discussed.
The second workshop tackled technical aspects of implementing open data projects and initiatives, including main standards and interoperability requirements, open data platforms and inventories.
