SDG 11 aims to "make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable". To achieve this goal in the Arab region, ESCWA organized a session on the sidelines of the AFSD on “New inclusive and sustainable pathways for cities”.
Participants assessed the progress made towards achieving SDG 11 in the Arab region, taking into account the impact of COVID-19 and other crises.
They also discussed international commitments, national urban policies and smart digital solutions to move towards inclusive urban governance and build more resilient Arab cities.
