On 9 and 10 November, ESCWA organized a capacity-building workshop for stakeholders from the Arab region contributing to the national digital development reports (NDDRs) for 2021-2022.
The workshop was built on lessons learnt through the challenges faced during the initial 2019 NDDRs, to which 10 Arab countries had contributed. It offered an overview of the reports’ methodology while focusing on the guiding manual with its 4 components: the conceptual framework, the standard template, the review process and the terms of reference for national focal points.
NDDRs are essential for assessing, reviewing and analyzing digital development in the Arab region, providing a tool for regular monitoring progress and devising evidence-based policies, strategies and action plans.
