On 27 October and 3 November, ESCWA and the International Organization for Migration’s Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa (IOM MENA), in cooperation with the Regional United Nations Network on Migration, organized a series of webinars on the Global Compact for Migration (GCM) in the Arab region.
The sessions provided participants with an overview of recent developments on migration governance at the global, regional and national levels.
The dialogue also served as an opportunity for brainstorming on means to optimize the engagement of all stakeholders in the GCM regional review process, which will culminate in a regional review forum to be organized in early 2021.
