On the sidelines of the 12th Session of the WUF held in Cairo, ESCWA, in partnership with UN-Habitat and the World Health Organization (WHO), organized on 6 November a meeting to delve into the Arab Sustainable Development Report (ASDR-2024).
Policymakers, mayors, UN partners, and other regional, national, and local stakeholders, discussed key policy directions and regional dimensions that support Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11, “Sustainable Cities and Communities,” and ways to integrate the SDGs into plans and policies.
The ASDR is a quadrennial flagship publication produced by ESCWA in collaboration with other UN entities working in the Arab region. It supports the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development at the regional and sub regional levels.
