ESCWA, jointly with the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) and the Turkish Statistical Institute, held a webinar on “Motor Vehicles, Traffic Volume & Road Traffic Accidents Statistics.”
Some 30 participants from 21 national statistical offices of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC countries) and statistical units of the relevant international agencies, attended the webinar, and shared their experiences on statistical themes of mutual interest.
Participants discussed road motor vehicle statistics, road traffic accident statistics, and the importance of transport statistics for the implementation of the SDGs.
