ESCWA organized a workshop to build the capacity of Palestinian officials in monitoring and tracking food security achievements as the State of Palestine is in the process of preparing its Voluntary National Review (VNR) report.
The workshop was attended by 15 officials from various institutions including agriculture, economy, health and statistics among others. Participants were introduced to the operation and intricacies of the Arab Food Security Monitoring Framework developed in coordination with AOAD and FAO with the support of Sida.
Participants also reviewed the process of preparing a VNR and learnt from the experience of Jordan in the preparation of their 2022 VNR, particularly its food security component.
