To accelerate progress towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, ESCWA and the UN-Habitat Regional Office for Arab States launched the 1st voluntary local review (VLR) of Ennour City in Kasserine during a workshop held on 18 April in Tunisia.
The workshop aimed to strengthen the capacities of local authorities in developing VLRs and review the phases of the report development process, shedding light on challenges, opportunities and lessons learned.
The VLRs serve as the primary mechanism to assess the progress made at the local level, which subsequently contributes to relevant regional and global platforms.
