ESCWA held a high-level dialogue within the AFSD to explore ways in which the private sector can contribute to the SDGs in the Arab region.
Participants - including government officials, representatives from civil society, private sector and academia, and UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed – also tackled the challenges preventing the private sector from playing its role in pushing sustainable development forward.
They highlighted the importance of private financing in accelerating progress in this regard.
