On 20 December, ESCWA, in cooperation with the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions (ANNHRI) and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), marked International Human Solidarity Day by organizing a webinar.
The event was an occasion for national human rights institutions from Arab countries to share experiences and discuss ways of enhancing solidarity and cooperation among human rights actors.
ESCWA presented the main trends of the socioeconomic repercussions of the Israeli occupation on Palestinian women and girls, based on its findings from almost two decades of reporting on the status of women and girls in the occupied Palestinian territory.
