Under a joint project on innovative financing instruments, ESCWA, ECA, and ECLAC organized on 17 and 18 October an interregional expert group meeting on “Innovative Financing Instruments for Climate Action and Sustainable Development”.
The meeting aimed to set the stage for developing practical tools to leverage innovative financing for a more resilient and sustainable future. Participants explored how innovative financing instruments can be harnessed to address the triple planetary crisis: climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss.
Participants included representatives of countries targeted by the project, leading experts on innovative financing instruments and academics.
