In Amman, Jordan, ESCWA organized the twenty-fifth session of its Committee on Transport and Logistics on 26 and 27 November, to review developments in the field among member States since its twenty-fourth session.
Representatives from member States addressed emerging issues in the sector, including transport and food security in the Arab region, cybersecurity, the impact of the Red Sea crisis on the region’s economy, and the ongoing negotiations on the negotiable cargo document.
In celebration of World Sustainable Transport Day on 26 November, the Committee held a roundtable on sustainable transport in the region as part of its proceedings.
