To support Palestinian institutions in improving the quality of public services under the occupation, ESCWA organized a workshop at the UN House in Beirut on 28 and 29 August.
Experts from public, private and academic institutions examined trends in Israeli policies and practices impeding the Palestinian public institutions from providing services. They also highlighted the role of public services in enhancing the ability of the Palestinian people to overcome occupation-related challenges.
Participants also developed a proposal for possible approaches to improve the quality of public services and the institutions’ ability to provide them.
