During the United Nations Food Systems Summit +2 Stocktaking Moment, which was held in Italy from 24 to 26 July, ESCWA organized a side event on “Food systems transformation amid a polycrisis: addressing climate, food insecurity, malnutrition and conflicts”.
The event, held in collaboration with several partners and with the support of the Government of Sweden, aimed to facilitate discussions on food systems in fragile settings, and provide a space for affected countries to share their experiences in implementing actions that address drivers of crises.
It also offered insights on means of implementation, and context-driven solutions to transform food systems and enhance their resilience and sustainability.
