The first ESCWA-LAS joint workshop on developing an Arab digital agenda/ICT strategy (ADAICTS) was held on 23 and 24 March.
The workshop kicked off a process aimed at shaping and formulating the ADAICTS as a joint regional public good, under the umbrella of LAS and the leadership of ESCWA.
In 2020, ESCWA had launched a project on advancing digital cooperation and development in the Arab States. Regional and national digital agendas will be produced in the framework of that project, with a view to enabling policymakers to harness information and communications technologies (ICTs) for development and accelerate the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
