To mark Older Persons Day, ESCWA virtually convened the Fourth Meeting of National Focal Points on Ageing on 2 October.
Focal points from 10 member States and experts in the field highlighted the importance of protecting the rights of older persons and exchanged best practices. Discussions focused on the critical issue of elder abuse, providing a platform for representatives to reflect on their governments’ efforts in addressing this challenge.
Participants also agreed on ESCWA’s activities on ageing for 2025.
