ESCWA Joins ‘Green Business Opportunities in Lebanon’ Meeting

Beirut, 13 June 2011 (UN Information Service) — In cooperation with ESCWA, the Federation of the Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Lebanon and the Association of Lebanese Industrialists, the Order of Engineers and Architects in Beirut and the International Finance Corporation, Lebanon Opportunities Magazine is holding a conference on ‘Green Business Opportunities in Lebanon’ on Tuesday 14 June at 4:00 PM at the Movenpick Hotel. Statements will be delivered by Chairman of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists Nehmat Frem and Publisher of Lebanon Opportunities Ramzi El Hafez. Two presentations will then be given by Ziad Jaber from ESCWA, entitled “Opportunities in Low Carbon Development” and by Antoine Dahdah from the University of Holy Spirit Kaslik, entitled “A Holistic Green Approach.” A success story on “Carbon Neutral” will then be presented by Abdo Sweidan of Rasamny Younis Motor Co.
