To discuss emerging challenges and reforms of the financing architecture, and the state of financing sustainable development in the Arab region, ESCWA organized on 29 and 30 April in Cairo the third session of its committee on Financing for Development.
Participants identified key priority issues and articulated the essential financial actions to mobilize investments across various sectors to advance national development goals. They also discussed an Arab Financing for Development framework ahead of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development in 2025.
The Committee also hosted a regional workshop to showcase and promote the evidence-based financing tools and artificial intelligence-powered budgeting toolkits developed by ESCWA.
