Persons with disabilities are still facing multiple barriers hindering their ability to participate on an equal basis in society. From 23 to 25 November, ESCWA held an online workshop to discuss the use and adaptation of templates it prepared on national policy and technical guidelines on e-Accessibility.

Participants received a hands-on training on the use and adaptation of these templates which represent a valuable tool for Arab experts at the national level to enhance e-Accessibility. Such a process will help bridge the digital divide and enable all society members to access and use information and communication technologies.

The workshop included an overview of the Arab Digital Inclusion Platform (ADIP) project that ESCWA launched in 2020 to assist Arab policymakers in using those templates interactively.
