Arab States are among the most water-scarce in the world. On 29 and 30 September, ESCWA virtually held the 14th session of its Committee on Water Resources with the participation of member States’ representatives and international and regional organizations.
Discussions revolved around integrated water and groundwater resources management in the region and participants agreed on a set of recommendations to achieve regional water-related goals.
Earlier, ESCWA held a joint meeting for its Committees on Energy & Water resources, focusing on Climate Change, by providing an overview of the activities of the Arab Centre for Climate Change Policies (ACCCP) since its inception in 2018.
