What: The Committee on Water Resources of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) is convening its 13th session. Participants will include representatives of member States, international and regional organizations and institutions, and relevant civil society organizations.

Why: The 13th session of the Committee on Water Resources will offer a platform for member States representatives to discuss issues including progress in achieving water-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Arab region; the water-energy-food nexus; regional cooperation on climate change; and progress made in implementing the Committee’s 12th session recommendations.
