On 15 and 16 September, ESCWA held the second session of its Committee on Trade Policies, focusing on economic integration and trade facilitation in the Arab region.
Participants praised the pivotal role of ESCWA in the field of trade policies, and its efforts to provide data and user-friendly trade policy tools and applications to support Arab policymakers in enhancing trade performance and conducting negotiations.
At the conclusion of its proceedings, the Committee proposed a set of concrete recommendations on ways to develop trade in the region and contribute to trade policy harmonization and coordination among Arab positions at the international level.
