From 19 to 23 October, ESCWA participated in the 8th UN Conference to Review all Aspects of the Set of Multilaterally Agreed Equitable Principles and Rules for the Control of Restrictive Business Practices, organized by UNCTAD.
ESCWA highlighted its partnership with UNCTAD and the joint technical assistance activities that the two entities are implementing in the Arab region to enhance competition and consumer protection policies.
It also tackled the challenges related to digitization and the impact of COVID-19 on Arab countries’ competition and consumer protection policies, and means for economic recovery.
